Kashmir Group Tour Packing List — Complete 2026 Guide (Season-Wise)
Packing right is one of the most important parts of a successful Kashmir trip. Kashmir's weather changes rapidly — mornings can be chilly even in summer, and winters can be intensely cold. This complete season-wise packing list, developed by our experienced tour managers, tells you exactly what to carry — and what to leave at home.
Documents Checklist (Everyone Must Carry)
- Aadhar Card (original + 2 photocopies)
- Passport (if you have one — useful for ID at some hotels)
- Booking confirmation from Sorath Travels (on WhatsApp/printed)
- Flight tickets (print or digital)
- Hotel vouchers (provided by tour manager)
- Travel insurance documents
- Emergency contact numbers (family + Sorath Travels: +91 9723219994)
Important: Photo ID Rule in Kashmir
All hotels in Kashmir require a government photo ID at check-in. Carry your Aadhar Card original. Non-Indian travelers (including OCI/NRI) may need additional documentation — contact us before booking.

Bag Strategy

| Main suitcase / trolley bag | Clothes, shoes, toiletries (to be kept in vehicle/hotel) |
| Day backpack (20–30L) | Camera, water bottle, snacks, medicines, light jacket, phone, documents copy |
What NOT to Carry
- Excessive jewellery (security risk, not needed)
- Too many pairs of shoes (2 pairs maximum — weight adds up)
- Formal clothes (completely unnecessary on a group tour)
- More than one large suitcase per person (vehicle space is shared)
- Denim jeans in winter (takes forever to dry and doesn't keep warm)
